Care for Arlington Drivers, Workers and Families
Arlington is one of Jacksonville’s older, established parts of town, east of the St. Johns River in Duval County and home to Jacksonville University. It covers a lot of ground, from the river out toward Regency and the I-295 East Beltway, so how far you are from us depends on where you live.
East Coast Injury Clinic does not have an office there. Our nearest clinic is the Southside clinic at 10550 Deerwood Park Blvd, Suite 609, Jacksonville, FL 32256, to the south in the Deerwood Park office area near J. Turner Butler Blvd (JTB) and I-295. For most of the area it is the shorter drive of our two locations.
For Arlington residents
- Clinic: Southside, Deerwood Park Blvd (clinic details)
- Routes: Southside Blvd south, the Arlington Expressway to Southside Blvd, or I-295 to JTB
- Drive: about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your starting point and traffic
- Area: City of Jacksonville, Duval County
- Second clinic: North Jacksonville, 13453 N Main St, Suite 302, Jacksonville, FL 32218, north of I-295 (clinic details)
- Hours: both clinics are open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM
- Phone: (904) 513-3954
Routes from Arlington to Deerwood Park Blvd
Pick the road that matches your side of town:
- Central neighborhoods and the Regency area: take Southside Blvd south. It runs south past Beach Blvd and JTB toward the Deerwood Park office area.
- West side, near the river and Jacksonville University: the Arlington Expressway or University Blvd will get you to Southside Blvd, then continue south.
- East side, near I-295: take I-295 (the East Beltway) south to the JTB area and follow signs for Deerwood Park.
Southside Blvd near Regency and Beach Blvd is busy at rush hour, so I-295 can be quicker from the east side. Our Google Maps listing shows live traffic.
Common Reasons Arlington Patients Come to Us
The area is a mix of long-time homeowners, renters, students and people who commute across the river or down to the Southside. The injuries we see from here reflect that:
- Crashes on busy corridors. Atlantic Blvd, Merrill Rd, University Blvd, Southside Blvd and the Expressway carry heavy traffic. Rear-end and side-impact collisions can cause whiplash, back pain and sciatica. Start with our car accident injury clinic page.
- Physical jobs. Trades, warehouse, health care and service work involve lifting, bending and long shifts. Job injuries go through Florida workers’ compensation.
- Older backs and necks after a new injury. Many adults already have some wear and tear in the spine, such as arthritis or disc changes, before a crash or fall. A new injury can make those areas flare. See herniated disc for how disc problems are evaluated.
If you have a severe headache, trouble speaking or walking, chest pain, or loss of bladder or bowel control, call 911 or go to an emergency room.
When a Crash Aggravates an Old Back or Neck Problem
This is one of the most common questions we hear from patients who have lived with some back or neck stiffness for years. A pre-existing condition does not mean a new injury cannot be treated. What matters is a clear record of what changed:
- A detailed history. Our providers ask how your back or neck felt before the injury and what is different now, such as new pain, new numbness or new limits on what you can do.
- An exam and, when needed, testing. Our medical providers and chiropractic physicians examine you and may order imaging or nerve testing (EMG) when symptoms point to nerve involvement.
- Care matched to your body. Our chiropractic physicians can use lower-force techniques such as the Activator Method when standard adjustments are not a good fit, and our physical therapists build strength and mobility gradually. Pain management options are available when conservative care is not enough.
Individual results vary, and our providers will tell you plainly if another specialist is a better fit. For nearby coverage, see our pages for Atlantic Beach and Town Center, or the full list of areas we serve.
Before Your First Visit
- Bring records if you have them: earlier X-rays, MRI reports or notes from past back or neck care help our providers compare before and after.
- Also bring: photo ID, insurance cards, and any auto claim, crash report or workers’ comp claim number.
- Pick your route ahead of time: Southside Blvd or I-295, depending on where you start.
- Find us: Southside clinic details, contact us or call (904) 513-3954.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We see patients from across the area at our Southside clinic at 10550 Deerwood Park Blvd, Suite 609, usually reached by Southside Blvd or I-295. Our medical providers, chiropractic physicians and physical therapists treat crash injuries and handle the records auto claims need.
From central neighborhoods, Southside Blvd south is usually the most direct. From near the river, use the Arlington Expressway or University Blvd to reach Southside Blvd. Drivers on the east side often find I-295 south to JTB quicker at rush hour.
Yes. A pre-existing condition does not rule out treatment for a new injury. Our providers document how you felt before and after, examine you, and order testing when needed so your records show what changed.
Yes, we see patients under Medicare. Medicare covers a limited set of chiropractic services, so our front desk explains what is and is not covered before your first visit.
Most injury care at East Coast Injury Clinic is covered through one of four paths: auto insurance PIP after a car accident, a personal injury attorney’s Letter of Protection, state workers’ compensation for a work injury, or federal workers’ compensation (OWCP or Longshore) if you are a federal or maritime employee. We also see patients under Medicare, Tricare, VA Community Care, and a limited number of private plans. Our front desk verifies coverage before your first visit and explains exactly what is and is not covered for your specific case, so there are no surprises. Call 904-513-3954 or visit eastcoastinjury.com to start.
Yes, once your employer’s workers’ compensation carrier authorizes care. Report the injury to your employer within 30 days, then call us with your claim number and adjuster’s contact information.
For most of the area, the Southside clinic on Deerwood Park Blvd is the closer of our two locations. Our North Jacksonville clinic at 13453 N Main St, Suite 302 is north of I-295. Both are open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. If you are unsure, our front desk can help you choose.
