Our clinic specializes in chiropractic care, physical therapy and injury rehabilitation. Our chiropractors provide spinal adjustments using the Diversified technique and the Activator Method, which are designed to help reduce pain and improve mobility.

In addition to chiropractic services, we offer shockwave therapy, a non-invasive treatment for musculoskeletal pain, and myofascial release for muscle pain and tension. Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Most injury care at East Coast Injury Clinic is covered through one of four paths: auto insurance PIP after a car accident, a personal injury attorney’s Letter of Protection, state workers’ compensation for a work injury, or federal workers’ compensation (OWCP or Longshore) if you are a federal or maritime employee. We also see patients under Medicare, Tricare, VA Community Care, and a limited number of private plans. Our front desk verifies coverage before your first visit and explains exactly what is and is not covered for your specific case, so there are no surprises. How long will my chiropractic treatment take?

The length of your chiropractic treatment will depend on the nature of your condition and the recommended treatment plan provided by your chiropractor. Typically, your initial consultation and examination will take about 30 to 60 minutes. During this time, your chiropractor will assess your condition, discuss your symptoms, and create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Follow-up treatments typically last between 15 to 30 minutes. The frequency of treatments varies based on your individual needs. Your chiropractor will work with you to establish a schedule that suits your recovery goals, and you can expect periodic reassessments to ensure that you’re progressing toward your goals. For more about the length of treatments, check out our Chiropractic Adjustments page.

What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit to East Coast Injury Clinic, you can expect a comprehensive evaluation from one of our experienced chiropractors. The first step is to conduct a detailed physical exam where your chiropractor will assess your posture, spinal alignment, and any specific areas of pain or discomfort.

They will also take a thorough medical history to understand your current health status and any previous injuries or conditions that might be relevant. After reviewing your symptoms and discussing your goals for treatment, the chiropractor will recommend a personalized care plan that may include chiropractic adjustments and other therapeutic treatments. If appropriate, the chiropractor may perform an initial adjustment or therapy session during your first visit.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No, you do not need a referral to see a chiropractor at East Coast Injury Clinic. We accept patients directly, so you can schedule an appointment by calling us or filling out our appointment request form online. If you have health insurance, our team can help you verify whether chiropractic care is covered under your plan. Our goal is to make the process as easy and seamless as possible so you can start your path to recovery without delay.

What types of injuries do you treat?

We specialize in treating a broad range of injuries and conditions, including those caused by auto accidents, sports injuries, and work-related accidents. Whether you’re dealing with whiplash from a car accident, muscle strains or joint sprains from sports, or chronic pain from a repetitive motion injury, our clinic offers effective treatments that target the root cause of your pain.

Additionally, we treat conditions such as back pain, neck pain, sciatica, and headaches, providing comprehensive care to help you regain your health and mobility. Whether your injury is recent or chronic, our team is here to help you get back on track with personalized treatment plans tailored to your specific needs. Explore more about the conditions we treat by visiting our Conditions Treated page.

How much does chiropractic care cost?

The cost of chiropractic care depends on several factors, including the type of treatment you require, the number of sessions needed, and whether you have insurance coverage. At East Coast Injury Clinic, we work with a wide range of insurance providers to help reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.

If you’re concerned about the cost, our team can help you explore your insurance options, and we will provide a breakdown of any out-of-pocket expenses so that you can make informed decisions about your care. Our goal is to make the costs of your care clear before treatment begins.

Will chiropractic care hurt?

Chiropractic adjustments are generally safe and well-tolerated by most patients. Some individuals may feel slight soreness, similar to the feeling after a workout, but this typically subsides within 24-48 hours.

Your chiropractor will communicate with you during the treatment to ensure you’re comfortable, and if you experience any discomfort, they will adjust the technique to your needs. For more on what to expect from your chiropractic care, check out our Chiropractic Adjustments page.

How long will it take to feel better?

The time it takes to feel relief varies depending on the severity of your condition, how long you’ve had the symptoms, and the type of treatment you are receiving. Some patients report feeling better after just one treatment, while others may need a series of treatments to experience significant relief.

It’s important to note that chiropractic care is a process, and while you may feel some immediate relief, long-term improvements often require a series of treatments. Your chiropractor will work with you to monitor your progress and adjust your care plan to help you achieve the best possible outcome.

What types of therapy do you offer for pain relief?

We offer a variety of therapies to relieve pain and promote healing. These include chiropractic adjustments, shockwave therapy for musculoskeletal pain, myofascial release for muscle tension, and physical therapy techniques to rehabilitate injuries and improve movement. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your specific needs to ensure the best possible outcomes. If you’d like to learn more about our therapies, visit our Adjunct Therapies page.

Can chiropractic care help with stress?

Some patients report feeling less tension after chiropractic care, especially as neck or back pain eases. However, chiropractic care is not a treatment for anxiety or stress disorders. If stress or anxiety is affecting your daily life, talk to your doctor.
